Mission

To reinterpret early music through contemporary means, revealing how historical forms can evolve through electronic innovation and new sonic languages.

Approach

Rooted in the Baroque tradition, composer Guzmán Calzada Llorente fuses electronic composition with period instruments in live performance, shaped by a spatialized sound system that expands the acoustic field. The project evolved through residencies in Brussels and Cologne, culminating in a public premiere and a studio recording.

Impact

The Guzmán Project reimagines historically informed performance by uniting acoustic tradition with contemporary sound design. By establishing a hybrid artistic format, it bridges classical and modern audiences while expanding the expressive and cultural relevance of early music today.
