Lithuanian pianist Elžbieta Liepa Dvarionaitė approaches music as a space for discovery, reflection, and connection. Drawn to repertoire that invites multiple perspectives, she is particularly interested in bringing composers, eras, and artistic ideas into conversation, creating programs that reveal unexpected relationships across time and tradition. Questions of identity, memory, and cultural belonging inform her repertoire choices and the narratives that emerge through performance.

Collaboration plays a central role in Liepa’s work. As founder of Trio Kosmos, she explores repertoire ranging from classical masterworks to twentieth and twenty-first century works, often integrating theatrical, literary, and visual elements into projects that invite audiences to encounter music from fresh perspectives. Current recording projects include an album bringing together Schubert, Ravel, and Raminta Šerkšnytė, exploring themes of displacement, continuity, and transformation across different musical languages and eras. A further collaboration with David Geringas features Schubert-Liszt songs in newly created transcriptions for cello and piano, approaching transcription as a means of reimagining familiar repertoire.

Recent distinctions include Second Prize at the 2025 Málaga International Piano Competition, Second Prize at the Bechstein-Bruckner Competition in Linz, and First Prize at the International Stasys Vainiūnas Piano Competition. As a soloist, she has appeared with the Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra, Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra, Baden-Baden Philharmonie, Kaunas Symphony Orchestra, Klaipėda Chamber Orchestra, and St. Christopher Chamber Orchestra, with performances throughout Europe and Asia.

Currently studying at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna with Anna Malikova, Liepa continues to develop a distinctive artistic voice shaped by intellectual curiosity, openness to new forms of presentation, and a deep respect for musical tradition. Among the strongest influences on her artistic thinking is Grigory Sokolov, whose deeply personal and uncompromising approach to music continues to shape her own work.
