Julian Kainrath is an Italian violinist recognized for the expressive depth, tonal richness, and musical intelligence of his playing. Winner of the 2022 ICMA Discovery Award and the Ysaÿe International Competition, he has appeared as a soloist and recitalist across Europe and the United States, collaborating with leading orchestras and musicians on the international classical music scene.

Born in Merano in 2005, Julian began studying the violin at the age of six and has followed an international musical path from an early age. His artistic development has been shaped by studies with Boris Kuschnir and by guidance from distinguished musicians including Dora Schwarzberg, Marc Bouchkov, and Ilya Gringolts. Recent seasons have brought performances to major festivals and concert series across Europe, reflecting the growing international scope of his career.
