Pianist Anastasiya Magamedova is drawn to music as a form of storytelling. Whether performing solo, engaging with historical keyboard instruments, or collaborating in chamber music, she seeks to create meaningful connections between repertoire, performers, and audiences.

Born in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, Anastasiya is a graduate of The Juilliard School and a recent Second Prize winner at both the International Júlio Cardona Competition in Portugal and the International ArsClassica Competition in Rome. Her performances have taken her to venues including the Kammermusiksaal of the Berlin Philharmonic, Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall, Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall, and Berlin’s Pierre Boulez Saal. A 2016 National YoungArts Winner, she has also appeared as a soloist with orchestras in the United States and Europe.

Chamber music plays an important role in her artistic life. Together with cellist Johannes Gray, she forms Duo Gray-Magamedova, a prize-winning ensemble that has performed throughout the United States, Europe, and Central Asia and is currently recording its debut album for the Swiss-French label Aparté.

Committed to making classical music accessible to broader audiences, Anastasiya is particularly interested in imaginative programming, historically informed performance, and projects that bring music beyond traditional concert settings. Anastasiya is currently pursuing an Artist Diploma at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris.
