Sondra Radvanovsky

Advisory Board Member

Soprano, Opera Innovator, Honorary Board Member at Althafen Foundation

Sondra Radvanovsky is a world-renowned American-Canadian soprano celebrated for her commanding stage presence, vocal depth, and emotional intensity. Recognized as one of the leading interpreters of the 19th-century Italian repertoire, she is especially acclaimed for her portrayals of Verdi heroines and the iconic “Three Donizetti Queens.”

Radvanovsky’s performances have headlined the world’s major opera houses, including the Metropolitan Opera, Royal Opera House, Teatro alla Scala, Opéra National de Paris, and the Bayerische Staatsoper. Her landmark Met season singing Anna Bolena, Maria Stuarda, and Roberto Devereux in succession positioned her as one of the few artists to achieve that dramatic and technical feat.

In addition to her artistic achievements, Radvanovsky is an advocate for artist mentorship and institutional innovation in opera. Her perspective as a performer with global experience enriches her contributions to conversations on sustainability, access, and artistic development in the performing arts.

As a member of the Althafen Foundation Honorary Board, Sondra offers strategic guidance rooted in firsthand industry insight. She supports the Foundation’s mission to empower emerging artists and amplify long-term impact in the arts through mentorship, performance advocacy, and international collaboration.
