event brief

Martha Argerich will be performing not only as a soloist, but also as a unifying force around which the musical events unfold. At her side are pianists Roman Borisov, winner of the 2022 Kissinger KlavierOlymp, and Anton Gerzenberg, resident "Great Talent" at the Vienna Konzerthaus from 2022 to 2024—two independent artistic voices who will enter into direct musical dialogue with Argerich.

Julian Kainrath, Dmytro Semykras, and Petar Pejčić of the Alvier Trio open the concert with youthful energy, romantic proclivity, and sonic depth. The second part features the world premiere of "Carnaval de las Indias" composed by Marc Migó during his time as the foundation's Artist in Spotlight 2025. Argerich performs with Alan Kwiek under the baton of Oscar Jockel, who conducts an ensemble of soloists specially assembled for the occasion. This ensemble includes artists from supported projects such as the Alinde Quartet and the Verità Baroque Ensemble. Annie Dutoit-Argerich's narration lends the work a poetic dimension.

The full program will be announced on August 1, 2025.
