Bringing together internationally celebrated artists and rising voices, the concert pays tribute to Argerich’s enduring artistic influence while spotlighting Althafen’s mission to shape the future of classical music through mentorship, innovation, and bold collaboration.

An international chamber music residency bringing together exceptional young string players from across Europe and Israel. Hosted jointly by the Jerusalem Music Centre, Althafen Foundation, and Landesakademie Ochsenhausen, the program combines high-level musical training with cross-cultural exchange and career development. Through rehearsals, masterclasses, concerts, and workshops, participants explore music as a shared space for growth, remembrance, and collaboration.

Echoing Schubert invites audiences across Europe to rediscover Franz Schubert as a visionary force for contemporary connection and creation. Through annual festivals in Italy, Spain, and Germany, the project brings together emerging musicians and renowned composers for new works, immersive performances, and educational workshops.

A concert series launched in 2024 in collaboration with NOACK Bildgiesserei & Galerie, marking the 125th anniversary of Hermann Noack’s enduring cultural legacy. Held in the informal setting of the gallery, each performance is followed by a shared dinner with the artist, creating a personal and intimate space for dialogue, connection, and artistic exchange.

On October 17th, 2024, we presented a sold-out benefit concert at the Berliner Philharmonie, reserving a section of the hall for underprivileged communities in Berlin to share in the celebration. Artistic Director Mark Prihodko performed César Franck’s Sonata with pianist Ben Kim, followed by Schubert’s Cello Quintet with the Alinde Quartett—one of the foundation’s first accelerated projects.

Summer Arts Lounge
Launched on June 7th, 2024, the Summer Arts Lounge unfolded over three vibrant months of open-air gatherings, bringing together artists, musicians, and thinkers for intimate performances and spontaneous exchange. Set in a relaxed outdoor setting, it invited audiences to engage with art in a playful, conversational atmosphere outside of the regular concert season.
