About the event
We thought: why have one gala when we can have two?
The Althafen Foundation and NOACK Bildgießerei warmly invite you to our Christmas Gala: two unique evenings of music-making with 20 of the world's finest young artists, gathered in the remarkable setting of a legendary Berlin arts foundry. A tradition since 2022, this year's Gala brings together the artists of the Althafen Foundation's Talent Studio, for a joyful celebration music, talent, and the pleasure of being together.
The second evening opens the doors wide: strings, piano, voice, accordion and saxophone meet in a festive program of chamber music, from Brahms's tender Geistliches Wiegenlied (newly arranged for voice, cello and piano) and Dvořák's "Dumky" Trio to Bach's Goldberg Aria in an unexpected new colour, a Fandango for a whole choir of cellos (with a surprise guest), and the radiant finale of Schumann's Piano Quintet.
Stay afterwards for a glass of wine and the chance to meet the artists. We hope you'll join us for one or both evenings.
